![]() CV Jason Kriel 2012Jason Kriel: Ideal Player for NTTI hope you are all well. The man whose CV is enclosed hereto, Jason Kriel, is the ideal young backline player. ![]() Jason was the joint top try scorer at the Craven Week last year ( South Africa’s annual Provincial under 18 Rugby Competition ). What makes his achievement remarkable is that he played for one of the weakest Provinces in the Competition and that his team did not win a single match. He was signed by the bulls out of school and has another year contract with the Bulls but I have been given the assurance that he will be released if he wants to leave the Bulls for an overseas franchise. He is frustrated because he is used predominantly on the wing ( Jan Serfontein who is the junior IRB player of the year is on center ) and because of the quota system he is sometimes used from the bench which frustrates him. He has been invited to play for the emerging Springbok Sevens in Dubai at the end of November and for the “Sevens IPL” tournament in George in mid – December. I am convinced that he will be picked within the next year to represent the Springboks in the Severns Code but he does not want to play sevens if it means that he will not qualify to play Test rugby for another Nation one day. The bottom line is that he is keen to look at the Japan option. He will slot in to senior rugby with ease as he is very big and strong so on a physical front he will stand his ground against anyone. I will soon send on footage of his past seasons games where he scored 10 tries despite not playing in all the matches. Jason Kriel's CV PDF
